Hi All,

I’m working on my first project using FMOD and we are constantly finding a need to change effect parameters for a whole bunch of sounds together, kind of like a submix group rather than for just one Event. For example – if you wanted to adjust reverb [i:33imcplk]Length[/i:33imcplk] and [i:33imcplk]wet/dry mix[/i:33imcplk] when a camera zooms in/out on a 2D sidescroller – you’d want almost all in-game sounds to be effected in the same way, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to set this kind of thing up from the Designer.

I found this post that suggests the "effect event" system is in the pipeline, which seems like what we’re after:

I also noticed its mentioned in the first post of the Feature Schedule sticky, which was last updated some 2 years ago:

So can anyone tell me if this is something we can expect soon?? :)

Apologies if I’m missing something that’s already been implemented here! I’m aware that we can achieve what we want with the help of a programmer, but I’m quite surprised that the Event Parameter system – which seems pretty powerful and flexible – is only for single Events.

This is has been considered, but I think your best bet is too talk to your programmer for the immediate future.
