I saw mentioned that reverb definitions have RTU control. Is the real time control of their parameters? That would be great for us as I’ve had all sorts of difficulties tuning the reverb only to find it sounds completely different in game.

The reason I ask on the forums is that it doesn’t appear to be working (other functions are, so its definitely connected). If others could confirm it works for them then I can narrow down what the issue is.

So can the reverb parameters be updated in real time via Audition->manage connections -> connect?

Thanks for your help!

I’d love to get an answer for this if anyone knows? Has anyone done it before? I’m itching to know!

Hi Michael,
I dont think reverb settings are tweakable.
It shouldnt be completely different though, the reverb algorithm is exactly the same in game and in designer.

Is it possible your game is trying to use hardware acceleration and your designer is using the software mixer.
Try switching your wavebanks all to ‘force software = yes’ I think that might help.

In a future version of designer we are probably going to drop hardware support all together for PC, vista is 100% software mixed anyway.

We are developing for PS3, and were under the impression "force software" would have no effect as the software mixer is already always used. Is this correct? If so how does this impact the difference / similarity of the reverb definitions in game and in designer?

Thanks for the response by the way. I should have mentioned we are on PS3. 😳
