I’ve been recently using the Profile tool in Designer to monitor our CPU usage, and I noticed that we’ve incurred non-negligible CPU usage on our category tree. We have an extensive category structure for mixing purposes, so I’m curious as to why all these categories with no active voices are showing up in the profiler and collectively eating up CPU as ChannelGroups. Is it expected behavior that large category trees spend more CPU, even if there are no active voices in them? I’m showing 5% CPU usage with absolutely no voices playing. :( Surely this can’t be right.

Any suggestions?
