Well, I just added a single event with a single sound.

Then I changed it to 3D.

Then I added a distance parameter….

Fmod States : Invalid Parameter and doesn’t let me play the sound

thanks

Note: If i set the event as 2D and then give the event a distance effect, the sound works fine, but I’m not sure how that moves over to code.

Why can’t I set the event as 3D?

Hi, we need more information.
How are you playing the event? In Designer? In Event Player? In the sandbox? In your own code?

If you’re playing the event in your own code, can you post the section of your code that tries to play the event?

Thanks,
Ben

i’m so freakin pissed….

i figured it out.

I had PCM and Decompress Into Memory Set on the Wavebank. As soon as I changed either the compression to something else, or changed Decompress to Load it all works fine.

This is a freakin headache for a noob…

I think it’s worth noteing it in the tutorial.

I literally wasted about a day on this……………..

Good to hear you figured it out – sorry for the frustration!

This sounds like a bug, but I still can’t reproduce the issue, even with those wavebank settings. Would you mind sending the project that exhibits the problem to support@fmod.org so we can try to find the cause?

Thanks!
