I’m a newbie, and sorry for my bad English(not my mother langue)

I get a problem, and hope for some body help.

well, lets start to talk about this problem.

I found that, record a sound need to createSound, and this will cause readData fail and get error code FMOD_ERR_UNSUPPORT(however, before call the readData,I have called the seekData(0) function and get error code FMOD_ERR_FILE_COULDNOTSEEK)

well,U’ll say add the CREATESTREAM flag or use createStream instead createSound, but, another problem come —– record will fail, and get error code FMOD_ERR_INVAILD_PARAM.

so,I’m confused.
any solutions,please told me,and thx a lot 😉

you do not use readData. That is for files, not recording sounds.

There is already an example that shows how to record to a file, this should be all you need.

well,I know how to record a sound, but I wanna a sound that recorded it first and get its samples later.

so,I just call readData after recorded it.

and my problem is here, how can I record a sound and get its samples?

should I use the DSP functions or lock/unlock functions?

any answers , thx

I’m done with that,thx(just use lock/unlock functions)
