I’m currently writing a memory usage display. I’d like it to be fully automatic, and I end up having to write a (admittedly simple) function that maps FMOD_MEMTYPE values to their string descriptions.

So, I suggest a function not unlike FMOD::ErrorString() that is FMOD::MemTypeString(). Maybe have a "short" name and a "long" description string as options.

Definitely a low-priority item, but I think it would be nice.

Thanks!

good idea, we can put that in the memory header.

also note:
FMOD_MEMTYPE_REVERBCHANNELPROPS = 20, /* Reverb channel properties structs /
FMOD_MEMTYPE_STREAMINSTANCE = 20, /
Stream objects and internals /
FMOD_MEMTYPE_EVENTINSTANCE_LAYER = 30, /
Event layer instance objects */
