Hello,

I’m using FmodEX in a QT project, compiled with MSVC2008 (VC++ express 2008).

So I’m using the fmodex_vc.lib , and I have a QT .project file like this :
[code:2kxjdjig]######################################################################

Automatically generated by qmake (2.01a) dim. 14. déc. 21:56:59 2008

#

TEMPLATE = app
TARGET =
DEPENDPATH += . debug src src\inc src\ui
INCLUDEPATH += .

LIBS += -LC:\Developer\FMOD\FMOD\api\lib
LIBS += -LC:\Developer\LibSndFile
LIBS += -lsndfile -lfmodex_vc

Input

HEADERS += src/allPrimaryData.h \
src/Convolueur.h \
src/DataTools.h \
src/gui.h \
src/IDSprofileWindowMONO.h \
src/IDSprofileWindowSTEREO.h \
src/sndfile.h \
src/SoundSystem.h \
src/ui_mainGUI.h

FORMS += src/IDSprofileMONO.ui \
src/IDSprofileSTEREO.ui

SOURCES += src/Convolueur.cpp \
src/DataTools.cpp \
src/gui.cpp \
src/IDSprofileWindowMONO.cpp \
src/IDSprofileWindowSTEREO.cpp \
src/main.cpp \
src/SoundSystem.cpp

RESOURCES += styles.qrc
[/code:2kxjdjig]

If I write [b:2kxjdjig]-lfmodex[/b:2kxjdjig] instead of [b:2kxjdjig]§lfmodex_vc[/b:2kxjdjig], I get a fatal error message very simple when compiling :
[quote:2kxjdjig]cannot find fmodex.lib[/quote:2kxjdjig]

Just normal according to the Fmodex documentation. Thus I corrected it and put [b:2kxjdjig]-lfmodex_vc[/b:2kxjdjig].
Result : I compile again, and I get plenty of LNK2019 errors… Why ? :(

are you sure it is actually trying to link the fmod library, sounds like it is just ignoring it.

I m quite sure. But I agree with you.

I tested some things like that :
* I replaced "-lfmod_vc" by : "-lfmod" in lib links of my project, result is "cannot find fmod.lib,
* The same result with "-lfmod_whatever" : cannot find fmod_whatever.lib"
* I come back to "-lfmod_vc" and I get the long LNK2019 error as upstair.

Maybe I dont do it well though : I link to the FMOD api lib directory, or api directory.
Then I copy/paste fmod_vc.lib and fmod.dll in my project folder and in my debug folder…

Thank you for your help
