Hello,

I’ve found a couple of posts about this and a feature request for the functionality I was hoping for. I don’t seem to find any update on this so here goes:

We have implemented the callback to deal with programmerSelected sounds but it would be useful to be able to decide which sound to play based on the name of the sound, so we could possibly access the name of the sounds as well as the index of the sound to play.

I don’t think we could extract the sound name via its index?

Thanks,
Pedro

I’m sorry to bump this but I still haven’t had an answer. Anyone?

Thanks,
Pedro

You could easily parse the text file that is generated with the FEV and include that in your build.

From what I can see the text file generated with the FEV doesn’t contain any information on sound definitions…?
I guess it would probably work by parsing all sound definition entries from an FDP file and saving it in an array per sound definition, but this sounds a bit round the houses and either I’m not looking at it right or there should be an easier way to make this work.

I have read a post in the forums that the index order is not exactly the order of the sound definition entries in designer. Although I couldn’t verify that myself this still worries me and yet another reason to have this functionality.
