Hi!

I created a nice interactive musicsystem for my game in fmod….
now i want to turn the volume of the whole music down in order to make the other sounds audible. where can i do this….??? there is no event for the musicsystem, in which i could control the volume.

the musicsystem send the signal in the global reverb….where can i control the amount of wet level for the musicsystem?

the music is loud as hell and i have no control about these two important things…..please help me …..thank you a lot!

Use MusicSystem::setVolume to control the music system volume.

There is currently no way to change the global reverb wet level for the music system – we’ll look into this.

Hi Guys,

The ability to control music volume and reverb levels has been added for our next release of designer and the API. The levels can be set via sliders in the Music tab in designer and the API functions MusicSystem::get/setReverbProperties() have been added to modify the wet and dry levels at runtime.

Cheers,

Gino

Hi, we are also having this problem:

We set global reverb for 2D and 3D sounds but don’t expect the music to be reverberated. Is there still no way to tell the music not to go through global reverb?

Thanks,
Pedro

Unfortunately not. The issue is still in our tracker, so I have bumped the priority.

How high is the priority of this issue for you?

we should be able to control the themes in the music tabs with events in the events tab. something like the templates.

Thanks.

Is this still an outstanding issue?

This is pretty serious…

I worked around by creating 3 groups. Music, UI, and SFX. Instead of using the system reverb properties, I created a new reverb DSP effect and tied it to the SFX group.

Works.

Hi there – would you elaborate slightly on this? Did you create an event category for each, or event group? If so, how are you including events (as opposed to audiofiles) in the Interactive Music section?

Thanks in advance for your time.

Hi everyone,

We are currently adding a feature to set the music volume and reverb level in designer and through the MusicSystem API. We’ll let you know as soon as it’s ready.
