Hi guys,

I have an app where I intend to re-use a few sounds quite a lot. What’s the best way to keep the sounds in memory for re-use – any pointers? The sounds are stored as small WAV files (100kb is the largest).

Not really a support request, but thought I’d ask!

All the best,

Steve

[code:1e4v3uuj]FMOD_RESULT System::createSound(const char * name_or_data, FMOD_MODE mode, FMOD_CREATESOUNDEXINFO * exinfo, FMOD::Sound ** sound);[/code:1e4v3uuj]

Will create and FMOD::Sound object that will store the sound data in memory. The [i:1e4v3uuj]mode[/i:1e4v3uuj] needs to include FMOD_CREATESAMPLE to store it in memory, sample default behaviour type of sound so you needn’t specify it explicitly.
