Hi.

I tried to create a sound from a .flac File, but I always get the error 37 FMOD_ERR_INVALID_PARAM.

I searched for about 3 hours but I couldn’t find anything helpful.

The call is like that:
[code:1e60fu7q]
system->createSound ("test.flac",FMOD_DEFAULT,0,&sound);
[/code:1e60fu7q]

The system object ist valid an if I just change the test.flac to another format like .mp3 or .ogg everything works fine. (providing that the file exists..)

Does somebody know what the problem is? – Or does someone provide e small example with an .flac file? (unfourtunately none of the samples in the SDK contain a .flac file)

cu

btw:
Finally I do not really understand, why I get an error which says that I have a wrong parameter. I expected an file format error or something like that, but not such en error..

EDIT:
Nearyl forgotten:
I use the latest stable version: 4.22.02

you’d probably have to send a file to support@fmod.org so we can see what you mean, there’s obviously an issue with the file itself.

This was resolved via e-mail, basically it’s a problem with the old version of the FLAC library we are using, we will upgrade to the latest for our next release of our development branch to fix the bug.

Thank you for the fast support. I’ll try the next update and report if it works.

I’m wondering why nobody reported the same error but I’m sure that the next update will work.
