Hey!

I make a distance parameter on an event and create occlusion effect on it.
Direct (low pass) works OK, but reverb attenuation seems to be ignored.

This worked in one of the previous versions, if i recall correctly?
Or am I missing something?

I just did a quick test with the latest Designer and the ‘occlusion’ event (see the 3D event group in the examples.fdp) is working within both designer and event player.

I think there may have been some changes in the reverb signal path a few versions ago, which might have caused a bug. Are you using the latest version of Designer and API?

i have the same problem as mentioned above. using latest 4.23.06 version of designer. haven’t tried api yet.

if i open examples the reverb occlusion works. if i create a new project, add a normal wav sample, make a 3d event out of it, add custom distance parameter, create an occlusion effect, set up the curves, then create a default reverb, override with it some strong reverb (stone room), activate it, play the event and slide the parameter, the reverb effect is constantly at maximum, while direct occlusion effect works.

Hum, funny ye.

It works in examples.fdp for me too.

After few tests, looks like closing and re-opening the project makes the newly made reverb attenuation work.

Yep, this is a bug in designer where reverb occlusion on a newly added occlusion effect only works once the project is re-opened.

This issue has been fixed for today’s release of Designer (4.23.07).
