I’m having this same problem with xbox 360 audio build, it is very unlikely a memory issue (I have 8 gig). Compression quality is set to 60 (XMA) and sample rate optimization is turned off. I’m using designer 4.28.

Actually, I think this is to do with the system running out of memory when doing the stretch sound, we’ve had some correspondence on email.
The reason it is trying to stretch the sound is because
- You have sample rate optimization turned on (you can turn it off)
- The sound does not align with the compression format boundary, so it stretches it. If it is mpeg try aligning the length of the sound to 1152 samples.
You can try this to see if it fixes your problem Alternatively you can try on a machine with more ram.
