Hi there,

i’m using FMOD library to play some audio files (wav, ogg, it, sm3, xm…). Recently I tried to play a midi file, but it rise me the next error:

[i:2219oxxm]FMOD error! (65) A resource that the plugin requires cannot be found. (ie the DLS file for the MIDI playback)[/i:2219oxxm]

I think I need something, a dll or something like it, but I don’t know what.

Thank for all the help!

That error occurs when you have specified an incorrect path to the required DLS file. This can happen if you are on a platform that doesn’t know where to find the default DLS (Only Mac and Windows have these defaults).

Otherwise perhaps you are providing the FMOD_CREATESOUNDEXINFO structure to the System::createSound call with an invalid path to a DLS. This could be due to you explicitly setting an invalid path via the dlsname member or you are inadvertently giving random data by not memsetting that structure to 0 before using it.
