I have sound A and sound B looping in an event ,sound A and B are in 2 different layer , I send up volulm curve in these 2 layer . when the parameter is 0 A sound is looping and parameter is 1 B sound is looping.

and now I want that when these 2 sound switch , a one shot sound (sound C ) to be called .

So how to setup this in Designer ?

Thanks !

Is there any reason why you can’t simply trigger another sound event at the same time that you change the parameter in the first sound event?

I agree with Matt, perhaps calling triggering another event when changing the parameter will probably give the best result.

Your other option is to create a 3rd layer containing the one-shot sound.
Then set the parameter property ‘Seek Speed’ to 2 (you might have to experiment with this value). Using a ‘seek speed’ causes the parameter to interpolate between the current and new parameter values rather than jump.

By laying out sounds A (0 to 0.1), B(0.9 to 1) and C (0.4-0.6) means than each time the parameter jumps from 0 to 1 or 1 to 0, the parameter cursor will move over sound C triggering the one-shot sound. You can then experiment will overlapping the sound and using behaviors such as ‘Play to end’ to fine tune how it sounds.

Let me know if you need an example .fdp.
