Found a “GPL-licensed audio processing library” that has tempo changes!

Can someboby make this work with FMOD (with VB) ? I’m willing to pay $$ for this.

Take a look at: http://www.sunpoint.net/~oparviai/soundtouch/

I’ll check it out. Too bad it’s GPL, because I won’t be able to use it in my own app then…

Can’t you use it as a “plugin” for FMOD?

Found some more stuff built on that GPL:

Would be nice if it was working with FMOD, it sound good.

ok, I’ve managed to get it working.

Everything you need at

You shouldn’t change the rate or tempo values, only change the pitch value.
If you want to change the tempo, just change the frequency used by fmod, and use the pitch (the setpitch button and Update) to make it sound the same.

It works fine, but for my purposes the latency would be too large.

Thanks Adion!

The exe you compiles works, but If I try the vb project I get “Bad DLL convention” on “dsp_effect_create”. Have tested to put the “fmod_dsp_pitch.dll” in my system dir but… Some file missing in the vb project ?

Any suggestions?

It’s possible it doesn’t work in vb, but it should work when you first compile it in vb and then run the compiled exe.

[edit]
I have updated the download: It now contains a release build for the dll, which makes it a lot smaller, this probably won’t do anything about your problem though

That was smaller…

I compiled and then it worked, I don’t think that should be a problem for me since I have made a DLL (the dll then call on FMOD) that I call from me VB proj, this is for be able to use two ore more soundcards at the sam time.

The tempo changes sounds realy good (better that my DJ software BPM Studio…) but when I picth up (like to 48k) it “stuble” a little in the sound, is there any buffer I can increse?

Thanks again!

Hi!

I tryied to use fmod_dsp_pitch in uses part, but my delphi said that it couldn’t find fmod_dsp_pitch.dcu file. I’ve installed a dll file in correct folders. Why doesn’t it work and what should I do?
