Hello,

I have a cue called "main menu" attached to a theme called "main menu theme", which is linked to a segment called "main menu segment" which is flagged as a start segment and also has a loop set to a custom transition of "At segment end". This is all working fine.

I have then created a new theme called "stop_theme" which has a segment in it of a silent wav file that’s 2 secs long. This segment has been flagged as both start and stop. It also has a loop.

All of the themes have been set to default transition of crossfade 2000ms.

I then linked the main menu theme to the stop theme by clicking the target button on the stop theme (which makes it say "targeting theme – stop theme" at the top), and then I dragged a link from main menu theme to stop theme.

I have 2 major problems at this point…

  1. When auditioning in Designer, i don’t hear a crossfade to the stop theme, it just stops by cutting off.

  2. When deactivating the main menu cue in code (using the end function) , it will only stop at the end of the segment, never the next bar or beat.

Am I doing something wrong in the data, or is this a bug in FMOD?

Cheers,
Jeff

The default transition (the crossfade) is only used if there is no link to the new theme. If you remove the link from "main menu theme" to "stop_theme", the crossfade should work.

You need a link to a stop segment with a "when targeting conclusion" condition, and an "On Bar" or "On Beat" transition type. To create this, click the target button on any stop segment (next to the stop button). Note that the stop segment that you link to can be in "main menu theme" if you want.
