Hello everyone,

Keeping in mind that I am very new at this FMOD business, I have what is probably a silly question…

Within FMOD, I can see my .fdp files when I go to "save as," but when I manually look in the directory where the projects are saved, I cannot see them. Has anyone encountered this before? What am I missing?

Thanks

DB

Also… I can see other .fdp files in windows explorer (like the example project that comes with the download).

Are you saving your files to the desktop?

Have a look at this blog post by Mark Russinovich:

Basically, your file save operation may be getting virtualized to a different directory than you expect.

Thanks for the note. After doing a system search for the .fdp I found that it [i:3dlacg2s]was[/i:3dlacg2s] in that weird virtualized folder. What I’m confused about is A) within FMOD Designer it displays the directory the project is supposed to be saved in and B) How do I get it to this, and stop saving in the virtualized folder?

In the blog you linked to, it seemed like the problems were with Internet Explorer – Can I use his Process Monitor tool for this issue as well?

Thanks again for looking into this.

Well, for some reason, saving files [i:eikbdv0o]anywhere else[/i:eikbdv0o] other than the original path seems to be working fine. Thanks again.
