I couldn’t see anything in the PDF designer manual about how Event Categories cascade.

Imagine a category "dialogue" and two sub-categories "player" and "others".

I’m assuming that a volume change on "dialogue" will affect all events underneath it, including sub-categories, and with sub-categories including their own volume change.

Eg: if "dialogue" was set to -1dB, "player" to -3dB and "others" to -6dB then the player dialogue would be heard at -4dB and the others dialogue would be at -7dB.

Next…

I assume pitch to be the same – please corect me if I’m wrong.

And then….

What happens to the max playbacks and steal behaviour????????

Do they cascade at all? If so, how?

Thanks,
Matt

These two statements are both correct.

They don’t cascade. They only apply to events that are immediately within the category, not to events in sub-categories.
