We’re getting an issue in-house where, if you start our game with headphones plugged in, you hear sound, but if you unplug them, and plug them back in sound does not come back. Is anyone else having this issue? Is this a known FMOD issue?

Generally when a device is removed you need to switch FMOD to a working device, possibly even if the same device is unplugged then replugged (as it will have a new handle).

You can deal with this by using System::setCallback, and checking for the device list changed notifications. When you receive one you can re-enumerate the device list (System::getNumDrivers / System::getDriverInfo) and make a decision about which device to switch to (System::setDriver). If you are using all software sounds this can happen while keeping all your playing sounds intact.

We haven’t tested this issue with Windows7 yet but using the features above should get you going.
