Hello,

I have been getting the following error lately when I try to run FMOD based apps (even the examples) on the iPhone simulator. It’s come out of nowhere.

[code:20pt3uyu]FMOD: OutputCoreAudio::init : Initializing...
FMOD: OutputCoreAudio::init : Forcing output format to an acceptable value: PCM16.
FMOD: OutputCoreAudio::init : Forcing dsp buffer length to hardware selected size: 1156.
FMOD: OutputCoreAudio::init : Cannot initialize audio device. (err: -10851)
FMOD: OutputCoreAudio::init : Initialization Failed!
FMOD error! (62) Error initializing output device. [/code:20pt3uyu]

Bluetooth is off, I’ve made sure that there are no codecs loaded, etc. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Perhaps try setting the sample rate of the iPhoneSimulatorAudioDevice in AudioMidiSetup to 96KHz, that has solved an odd init bugs with the simulator before.

There we go! I was actually looking for that setting and couldn’t find it anywhere because I was looking in System Preferences. I should have just looked at Applications/Utilities. I changed mine to 44.1khz and now it works!

Thanks!
