Hi,

On the FMOD_EVENT_CALLBACKTYPE_SOUNDDEF_INFO callback we use sound->GetName() to get the wav that has been chosen by FMod. Apparently if the wav filename is bigger than 32 characters it only returns up to 32 characters even if the length is set to something higher (512 in our case).

We also use the wav names for lipsync purposes and we match up relying on the CRC being generated from the full wav name. Is there any way to get the full length of the file name? Alternatively we’ll need to rename a lot of files.

Running 4.25.09

Using the filename for this sort of purpose is not recommended, you could maybe use syncpoints for metadata.
The length is not usually used an informational only so for performance and memory reasons the filenames are stored as 32 bytes only.
