Hi there, I’m starting to use fmod like 2 days ago… complete noob.
now let me see if i get it:

You work with the FMOD designer and you are able to build a ready package that the game audio programmer will easily integrate in the game???

Oh, and another thing, I installed the api the designer and the sandbox.
The designer is the only one that works… maybe the api does (i don’t really know what it does or if it shows in a different window like the designer) but the sandbox just wont work, and i mean it wont even give me an error prompt… nothing… i just click the sandbox app and nothing.

what am I Doing wrong?

Are you running on a Mac or PC? I am interested in which version of Sandbox you tried that didn’t work.

With Sandbox I suggest you take a look in the documentation directory and view the PDF, it has details on how to operate the program. Essentially though you create assets in Designer, then "build" which produces an FSB and FEV. Sandbox can read the FEV and allow you to drag events from the list into the 3D world for auditioning.

Thanks for the info, it looks like a dependency on DirectX is causing the problem. For an immediate fix you could install the latest DirectX. Otherwise we will fix it so this problem won’t happen in future versions.
