Hello all,

I’m working on a project in which we would like to integrate some user generated audio content on the iPhone. If anyone has done something similar or has any resources on learning this stuff it would be greatly appreciated! Here’s the idea:

-Integrate iPhone voice recorder into our game (so the player can record their own ‘boss taunts’ or things of that nature)

or

-Some kind of ‘text to speech’ tool to generate natural-ish language. The idea is to produce audio content in a cheap way, but also in a non-predetermined way, so the user can customize his/her experience a bit.

Is anyone aware of any tools to accomplish something like this? and if so, how FMOD can be leveraged to make the process smoother?

Thanks for your help!

Pretty sure the "recording" example shows how to capture microphone input and use it as an FMOD sound.

Text to speech is trickier. I’m not aware of any middleware type solutions for that on the iPhone, though there may be some out there if you search around a bit.
