Hello. Sorry for bad english. I’ve just began to work with sound, so I have one question. How can I get amplitude of the sound at each tick while listening input stream? I don’t have to record sound, just get it’s parameters while listening input stream.

Hi,
I think i nee the same think you do : get the data of the recording in order to process it. Did you found how to do it ?

Tks,
Cedric

getWaveData

loop through array, Amplitude is (max entry value)-(min entry value)

Yeah, getWaveData is a good option. It gives returns an array of PCM data and as icuurd said, you can just loop through and find the largest absolute value in that array.

It’s worth noting that getWaveData will return a snapshot including a bit of history, so if it is important that you only analyse data from the current tick you can set up a custom DSP instead.
