I’m trying to get FMOD working with Visual Studio C++ 2008 but am having some troubles. When I compile, I get this error:

[code:3kpqiess]
Linking...
fmod.obj : warning LNK4248: unresolved typeref token (01000010) for ‘FMOD_SYSTEM’; image may not run
[/code:3kpqiess]

All I’m doing in my code is:

[code:3kpqiess]
int main(){
// create system
FMOD::System* system;
FMOD_RESULT result = FMOD::System_Create(&system);
}
[/code:3kpqiess]

I think I have set up VC correctly, I added /FMOD Programmers API Win32/inc to my include files, and also added " "/lib to my library files. I also added "fmodex_vc.lib" to my linker command line. Any help would be much appreciated

Welcome to the forums chanes1.

I haven’t seen that error before, but I looked online and it seems to only occur in managed projects. Is your project using managed C++?

From what I’ve read it seems like that warning is harmless in most cases.

I’m having the same problem using managed VC++ in Visual Studio 2008. The program compiles fine and I can run it from within VS, but when I try to run the .exe it always crashes immediately. I’m assuming this is an issue with this linker warning, since it does say "image may not run." If anyone has a workaround for this, it would be greatly appreciated.
(Also, I have the .dll next to my .exe.)
