I’m trying to create a simple mp3 playback in my scene and when I need to change the media it sometimes (random times I believe) fails to play the sound.

Here’s how I stop the last media:


and load the new one:

handle = FSOUND_Sample_Load(0, new_media.c_str(),0, 0, 0);
FSOUND_PlaySound(0, sound);

simply, if I try to stop and free the sample before it’s finished, I can’t play something else.

btw the FSOUND_PlaySound returns a different legal channel handle everytime although it won’t play.

I need help with this issue. am I missing something?
