I’m having a weird problem with streamed sounds and sound loaded into memory. I have different wave banks for memory and stream banks, they have identical adjustements (ADPCM, no optimizing).

Still, streamed sounds are playing in-game much, much louder than memory loaded sounds. I tested this just by moving some memory loaded sounds to stream and they started to sound much lauder than before… no other adjustments made.

What is this problem and how can I / you fix it? This annoyance affects PC and PS3 builds as well.

Are you mixing stereo and mono sounds in the same bank? Try putting mono sounds into thei own streamed bank and let me know if that makes any difference.
