HI

I’m not to FMOD and relatively new to programming

Can someone give me some hints/tips or what not.

I’m trying to save a .wav file after its been modified by some effect, I’ve combined the effects example with the manual decode example, but I’m not sure where to even begin to start on how to save

you can only play sounds with dsp using fmod, not apply an arbitrary effect to a sound.

This means you’d want to ‘capture’ the output of a playsound, and you could try that with FMOD_OUTPUTTYPE_WAVWRITER, which will write out ‘what you hear’ to a wave file.

Ok so should it look something like

[code:1fvzzkex]
case ‘s’ :
{
int active;

                result =  FMOD_OUTPUTTYPE_WAVWRITER;
                ERRCHECK(result);
                break;
            }

[/code:1fvzzkex]

I tried looking at the help file but its way over my head, I kind jumped into something that was over my head for this project but I’m dedicated to it now

you’re supposed to see that FMOD_OUTPUTTYPE_WAVWRITER has a mention that you’re supposed to call it with System::setOutput and call that function using FMOD_OUTPUTTYPE_WAVWRITER before system::init
