Hi I have a game running the FMOD Event API that has starting the NetEventSystem and updates it every frame correctly.

I can connect to the game using the FMOD profiler with my supplied port to NEtEventSystem_Init

But in FMOD Designer, when I do Audition -> Manager Connections there is no port setting that I can specify there and then everytime I try to connect it fails.

Do I have to set a specific port in NetEventSystem_Init so that the FMOD Designer will work? Is there somewhere where I can set the port in FMOD Designer?

I’m sure it is something very simple, but even the designer documentation does not mention anything about ports when creating a connection.

Thank you

This is usually really easy. If the game and Designer are running on the same computer it should be really simple. Can you try opening FMOD EventPlayer and see if you can connect to that from designer?

Actually it did turn out to be pretty easy. I just clicked connect and i would automatically do so. What was confusing me was that in the FMOD Profiler there is a field for "Port" which is set to some weird preset value so I assumed that I would also have to set a port when connecting with the live audition tools

Glad to hear you got it working. The port allows you to run mutliple FMOD applications at the same time on the same machine with profiling enabled. Generally you can just ignore it and use the default as you have done.
