To whom it may concern:

I intend to develop a program with sound editing capabilities by using FMOD library.
For instance, I would like to mix specified sections of mp3 file and wma file
The output of mixed data would be in a form of “.wav”, “.mp3” or “.wma”.
In order to do so, decoded PCM data from mp3 or wma sound files is needed.
What’s important is that I need to obtain decoded data without playing back at the same time.
I focus mainly on decoding and editing as well, rather than playing back.

Moreover, don’t I necessarily need to open the source code if FMOD library is purchased when the program is ready to be distributed commercially?

Your kindness and prompt response will be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,

Jaekyoung
