I’m using the latest version of Fmod Designer and Sandbox. I’ve created a project in Designer, added some audio and exported the .fev file for the project by going to Project>Build. Then I switch to Sandbox, click File>Load Media and I browse for the .fev file.

I get this message in the notification area:
[quote:5gwh6ksq]ERROR! FMOD: (84) The version number of this file format is not supported.[/quote:5gwh6ksq]

I tried downloading the ‘FMOD Designer Advanced Examples’ from the Fmod download page, opened one of the examples in Designer and repeated the Project>Build process, but I ended up with the same error when I opened the .fev file in Sandbox.

I’ve tried doing this on a Mac and PC and both gave me the same error.

What am I missing here? Thanks in advance!

Hi greenriver,

You’re right, the two are incompatible because the FEV file format has changed since the last Sandbox release, we will get an updated Sandbox version out in the next release which will work with the latest designer. That should be some time in the next week. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Thanks for clearing that up! I downgraded my Designer to 4.30.06 and it’s working fine now.
