Hey, a while back (I can’t remember exactly when) I remember seeing a very tantalizing license option for indie / hobbyist developers who intended on selling their games for a really low price point and didn’t actually expect to make enough money that could justify a recoup of the normal license cost.
I’m currently in development on a PC title that I was intending on selling for somewhere around $5-$10. I just went to the FMOD website to see about licensing and learned that the indie license option doesn’t appear to be there anymore. Am I no longer able to get an indie license for $100?
I have to say as a single indie developer who doesn’t really intend on getting all that much for my game, $3,000-$6,000 is so far out of my price range that I may have a heart attack. I mean, I feel like I’d be lucky if I saw a quarter of that when all is said and done.
Any enlightenment about the situation would be greatly appreciated.

[quote="peter":2svier2p]Hi sirflimflam, welcome to the FMOD forums!
Yes, we no longer offer the ‘indie’ license but if you contact email@example.com, we should be able to work something out.
Thanks for the information. I will contact sales and see what we can do. I appreciate it.
