Morning all. Thanks for an amazing designer tool, both very powerful and easy to use – love it. I have come across an issue however, that I’m hoping someone could help me with.

I’m finding very noticable changes to my audio when using MP2 and MP3 compression packing FSBanks – this is for the PC platform. Even with Compression Quality set to 100, there is quite a bit of pitch shifting occuring (pitched down). Encoding the same source audio files to MP3’s via other programs does not produce such changes. So I’m wondering:

How exactly does FMOD Designer handle the sample rate frequency of samples when packing / compressing.

Artifacts / audible changes aside – I’ve tried using various source sample rates in my projects, ie have all source WAVs @ 44.1kHz, then replacing the whole project with 32kHz source files.. but the FSBank output size remains the same regardless. This is with Optimize Sample Rate set to NO.

Any comments and ideas appreciated. Happy to provide example project / files if need be. Cheers!
