I am trying to schedule a trailing sound when a loop gets interrupted.

I am using setDelay() with the DSP clock to end and start my channels at the same moment. Everything works perfectly in that regard, but if I use MP3s embedded in FSBs, it all sounds very glitchy.

This is on PS3. Please note that if I use FSB with PCM, the result is perfect. I suspect this is related to compression so I did many different tests (FSBANK_BUILD_DONTLOOP and FMOD_ACCURATETIME among others) but to no avail.

Anybody has a clue for what I should try next?

Hi,

What do you mean by sounds glitchy? If you are trying to sentence two sounds together seamlessly, mp3 wouldn’t be the best choice. There is some processing done on the ends of the data to make sure it loops seamlessly and modified to be 1152 sample aligned. You would probably have to use adpcm or pcm.

You could try making sure the original wav is 1152 samples aligned before converting to mp3 to see if that helps.
