Just a suggestion.

We recently discussed with a musician who was wondering if the tempo of the music could be increased slightly when it gets more tense (we’ve been prototyping the [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hNaL6fIWzGc:31uau6d8]Channel Mix[/url:31uau6d8] music trick to change music intensity according to game situation).

Turns out there is an FMOD Pitch Shift plugin, but no FMOD Time Stretch. Theyr’e both based on the same tech, just a different usage of it (which the parameters of FMOD Pitch Shift don’t allow), so I was wondering… do you have plans to create a FMOD Time Stretch effect at some point as well?

(I do realize both effects are computationally expensive)

Hi skaven,

Time stretching is easy, you can just use the ‘Pitch’ property which will speed up the sound [b:2qed1zpt]and[/b:2qed1zpt] increase the pitch. Then use the "Pitch Shift DSP" to compensate for the increased pitch.
