I am trying to make a music playing visualisation type application.
I am looking for a way to make the visualisation dynamic and to read the music being played.
Say to read the frequency range .. or alternatively just the current volume ..
Can I do this with FMOD?

I was looking at the api reference and System::get Spectrum looked like a likely candidate..?
or Sound::getVariations?
or System::getWaveDate?

Thanks

[quote="mathew":di3j0p9q]There are two APIs available to get access to the currently playing sound info for use in visualizations:
Channel/ChannelGroup/System::getSpectrum – used to get spectrum values at that point.
Channel/ChannelGroup/System::getWaveData – used to get the PCM data being played at that point.[/quote:di3j0p9q]

Thanks! What I am trying to accomplish is being able to record you voice, then have a picture of yours move its mouth to your recording; anyone know of any libraries to help implement this?

I was literally just about to post almost this same question haha; glad I checked for one. But I’ll give you a bump here because I am looking to implement a simliar feature for an app I am developing.
