Hi everybody!

It looks like fmod will be great for the audio engine in my games, but I have a few questions regarding the production/release aspects of the API. First, do I have to pay for a publishing licence in order to manufacture my games that use fmod? Also, does fmod support phone platforms such as Android and iOS? I intend to support platforms such as Windows/Mac/linux computers as well as various phone platforms, and it would be ideal if I didn’t have to change APIs between these platforms.

I greatly appreciate any insight the community can give. Thanks!

EDIT: I see that the licensing fee is nearly $10,000, which is a bit inconvenient for me. Are there any exceptions based on the platforms I’m using this for?

Yes FMOD supports Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android and several others.
