Hi – has anybody tried to use the Sonory engine sound synthesis samples and associated FMOD Designer project files?

I’ve compiled them and have got them loading into our game (prototype for the new Carmageddon), but they don’t sound anything like as good as they do either in Sonory’s videos, or for that matter in FMOD Designer itself. It sounds like a single sample being pitch-shifted, to be honest. Also there is nothing in between a load of 0 and 1 – the change is abrupt (presumably as this values passes across 0.5), whereas in FMOD Designer it is smooth and lovely.
Has anybody else got this working properly, and if so, what did you have to do?

The Engine Designer has a special model controlling the on load based on the RPM. As you can see in the editor it moves relative to the RPM. This is not handled internally by FMOD, we leave it up to the user to control the load value themselves so it can better match what is happening with their car.
