I was wondering if this is possible to make in the designer. The basic set up is I have a mall with a set of elevators. The mall has some ambient crowd noise that I want muffled when the user activates the elevator. I have an elevator sound effect that includes the doors closing, traveling and opening back up. Is there something I can do in designer to make it so that when the elevator sound effect is called, the crowd noise becomes muffled about 2 seconds in and returns to normal about 2 seconds before the elevator noise ends? Or does that have to be done in the code by the programmer?

Basically it has to be done in code by the programmer. We do offer a full geometry based occlusion system that would take care of the muffling for you, but it can be quite a bit of work to integrate it into a game.
