Hello,

I was curious how one would go about setting the pitch on an fmod Channel object. Since the method does not exist, do you have to figure out what the pitch would be in hertz and set the frequency via setFrequency?

Thanks,

Hi It3ration,

Yes that is correct, to set the pitch directly at the Channel you can use the setFrequency function. Alternatively you could just add the channel to a ChannelGroup and use ChannelGroup::setPitch, which will change the channel frequency for you.

Hello Peter,

How does one compute what frequency equates to 1.0 pitch wise?

Best,

Just taking a stab here, but I assume I could just call getFrequency( .. ) on creation to get the default (1.0) pitch I suppose ..

  • EDIT: This worked fine. :)
