I’ve got fmod working on an Android device, but the getting started doc doesn’t list the available file formats. I tried playing a .m4a file (works on iPhone) but on Android the debug log says it’s not supported. Also, is there a "best" format we should be using for Android for streaming audio?
- EDIT: I’ve tried .ogg vorbis as well with no luck, but .mp3 works.

Our MP3 decoder is more optimizer than our current Ogg Vorbis decoder, plus the Ogg Vorbis decoder uses a lot more memory.
That being said, we are working on an optimized version of Vorbis that will be support in FSB that (when available) will probably be a better choice than MP2 or MP3.
Yes, by ADPCM I mean IMAADPCM.
Ogg Vorbis should work, but it would be expensive.
MP2 and MP3 are available (good choices for a limited number of music streams).
ADPCM should give good results for SFX.
AAC isn’t supported (only available on iPhone through the iOS SDK).
