The 3D Audition Tool does allow you to audition an event as if it were constantly circling around a point, provided the event is set to 3D mode – but if you want that behaviour in a game, the movement of the event instance will have to be handled in your code. The 3D audition tool can be opeed from Designer 2010’s Window menu.
Alternatively, you could make an event [i:1c89fwrz]sound[/i:1c89fwrz] like it’s moving in a circle through cunning use of parameters and distance and pitch automation curves, but the result will be an illusion easily shattered by actual 3D movement of the listener compared to the event, and will in any case still require the parameters be controlled by code.
[quote="xaerial":2vqbww9l]Thanks for the answer! And it would be helpful if there are possibility to listen to event moving along a curve or something (in Event player or Sandbox) …[/quote:2vqbww9l]
Oh, we provide that possibility already. The 3D Audition Tool built into Designer can do it. Try modifying the ‘Circle,’ ‘Figure-of-8’ and ‘Ping Pong’ settings until you find something that approximates the movement you want. Again, though, it’s just an auditioning tool, and you’ll need to replicate the effect in your game manually.
Circular path movement is also possible in Sandbox and Event Player.
