I use FMod on Windows and Linux. On Linux I have the tendency to just quit the app by pressing ^C in the shell, but often that wants to wait then for the ESS to close down. Messages like ‘waiting for ess write’ appear and the process won’t die (even when I try to kill it as root). It hangs on to /dev/dsp and sound is off until a reboot.
Anybody recognize this?
(I should probably get you better error messages, but the machine’s not here).
