I put FSOUND_Close in form unload which stop it crashing all the time but i really need it to stop doing it when i stop the program, any ideas?

Dont press stop, press the close button on your form instead. Stop doesn’t process Form_Unload, so when you press stop, the app closes but leaves FMOD on, therefore crashing the IDE.

It is kinda annoying how sometimes theres a bug in you code, (ie a typo or somin) and VB is in debug mode and it wont let you carry on until you fix the bug, and you cant fix the bug without changing some code earlier on, and you cant do that without closing the app, and you cant do that til you click the stop button, and you cant do that without crashing!!!!

HOWEVER, i have found that when the Illegal op does come up for some reason you can still click buttons in the main vb window, so what i do is just click save there, then clear the error and reload vb having lost no work!

When there is an error and you are in debug, you can still do some things :
Most of the time, the code that vb askes you to restarts for can be changed when you move the execution point to some lines further in your code.
If this is not possible, you can move the execution point to after the bug, resume the project, press the close button on your form, and then fix the bug.
If this is also not possible, you can do the FSOUND_Close function from the immediate pane, and then you can simply press the stop button in vb withouth crashing.
