I want FMOD to do the music for my game, and I got that running. But as soon as I initialize a DXSound, which I need for my soundeffects (I know FMOD can do the job but I prefer this method), only as soon as I initialize it, I lose the music from FMOD?? (and Exclusive is OFF on the component)

Thanks in Advance.

I’m guessing the problem there will be that you are trying to create two DirectSound objects in the one process (one from FMOD and one from TDXSound). This may not work properly as you seem to have discovered. I’m kind of guessing here. I do not use DelphiX myself. All I can suggest is that you use one or the other if they won’t play nice together.

Is there anyway to pass the DirectSound object from DXSound to FMod, and tell FMod to use that? I don’t really fancy writing functions to replace that whole class…

Not in the current version of FMOD. That would be up to Brett to implement, if feasible.
