At this stage we have no plans to release a static library version of Android, we prefer dynamic libraries wherever possible (platform capabilities permitting). If you have a source license you are free to recompile as necessary.
Perhaps I can assist with any dynamic linking issues you are having, could you elaborate?
Thanks for the reply. While still a potential issue for us because of wrapping system calls, we seem to be ok for now with the .so files.
The crash was resolved by aligning fmod header files between the client and platform code, along with making sure the deltas between them were zero-initialized.
