Is there any plans to add .NET support to FMOD? I did a search on the forums (using the search button), and there was no topic concerning this.

Thanks for the response :)

However, it is impossible to add in Net support via 3rd party, just like VB6 and Delphi. Net is a whole new ball game (even though net is a POS when it comes to protecting source), Net languages requires access to managed components, and COM components. From what I understand, FMod is a static DLL? Which is inaccessable by C#(?) and VB.NET. So it’ll have to be either worked from the inside-out by the developer, or those who has the source code, or, somehow a COM wrapper need to be created…… you just gave me an idea, nm :)

I think someone on this forum already had done some work to make fmod work in c#, so it can be done.

VB.Net is no problem either, because the vb6 .bas file included with fmod can be converted to vb.net.
You only need to change some things after the automatic conversion to get it working.

Serious? Even though VB.net can not access static non-com dlls? I thought FMOD was a static dll… :)

VB.Net can accesss static dll’s, but I think when you do that you don’t have managed code anymore.
I think this just means that your code can not be run in a .NET only environment, so it can only be run in windows.
