Hi,

I have downloaded the SDK, the PDA and Smartphone emulators from Microsoft, compile and installed the fmodsamplece application (using the proper x86 libraries, [b:1ajecvph][i:1ajecvph]not [/i:1ajecvph][/b:1ajecvph]the x86emu), installed the dll in the proper windows directory, but all I get when I start the application, is a “[i:1ajecvph]Error initializing output device[/i:1ajecvph]” error message.
I have tried it on a Toshiba PDA and everything works fine (I can play MP3 files with the sample application), but currently, my only available development platform is the simulator, not a real machine.

It seemed that some of you were able to make the fmod libraries work on the simulators, but for some reason, I can’t find out how. It seems that the emulators have no sound device. I couldn’t find any information relative to them in the MS documentation.

I’m obviously missing something, can someone help?

Thanks in advance,

nka.

Well, after some trial and error, I found that using 22050 Hz in [i:3f65vldx]FSOUND_Init[/i:3f65vldx] worked.
