On most iPAQs we have tested, we lose sound whenever we turn off the device and then turn it back on. I just downloaded fmodce361 hoping it would solve the problem, but it hasn’t. Any ideas?

Some further info: I tried the sample playing an mp3 and the first time I turned the power off and then on, it worked fine. The second time, the sound was gone. After a couple more tries, I had to soft reset.

I switched to the new release also, and the sound has gone also, when I switch the device off then on. I tried waiting a while, resetting and it still hasnt come back.

When I debugged the code, I get false returned from FSOUND_INIT( 22000,20, FSOUND_INIT_GLOBALFOCUS )

Subsequent calls to other fmod functions return -1, as the library has not initialised.

I am sure I am linking the new .lib and using the new dll….

Also, my customer is complaining about a short delay between my detecting an event, and the sound effect played in response to the event,
actually being played…..any ideas ( the code plays the effect as the event is detected ).

Any help you can offer will be really appreciated!

(Kind of under pressure 😮 , as I am trying to get a release of a commercial product out ).
